“ECHELON improved significantly our business in the USA in 2021. The reservoir models were calibrated on production history by means of hundreds of thousands of simulations performed by ECHELON in a very short time taking into account a comprehensive set of geological and dynamic parameters. Thanks to the computational power offered by ECHELON, very high resolution geological models were considered in order to take into account the high heterogeneity of the sedimentological models and the complexity of wells architecture. The speed of ECHELON also allowed running real-time sensitivities giving the possibility to identify and exploit new targets while drilling, therefore capturing opportunities and promoting reserves that would otherwise have been lost with previous technology. In addition, our main Operated field underwent a third-party reserves certification in 2021. Thanks to ECHELON the forecasted production profiles subsequent to an extensive risk analysis approach generated by the 3D simulation model were considered of high reliability from the auditor, resulting in a successful certification process.”
